its one of those days, bleak, overcast, grey skies baby!
hence beer and cigarettes are called for duty.
i have been in london for a shocking 9 months now, that was more than expected...
sometimes it feels like the abyss of the world and reading george orwell's 1984 doesn't seem to help the feeling. though interesting (head space) book.
thought police, big brother, geographical nations, fear and power controlling the masses.
funny enough its all based in london.

to swab a different vein, miss larsen has introduced me to various spanish author's, one of which l.cohen has made into a song, mixed feelings on that one, beautiful song but a bit disappointed that it wasn't his own material... nevertheless, good taste.

In 1986, Leonard Cohen's English translation of the poem "Pequeño vals vienés" by García Lorca reached #1 in the Spanish single charts (as "Take This Waltz", music by Cohen).

garcia lorca... wrote and staged his first play, El maleficio de la mariposa, in 1919-20. A verse play dramatising the impossible love between a cockroach and a butterfly, with a supporting cast of other insects, it was laughed off stage by an unappreciative public after only four performances..

interesting fellow :)

earlier today there were so many thoughts crushing about inside my head, though now they all seemed to have evaporated, why is that.... when you are to the point of craving some source of output it can't be unleashed, then when the time comes.. nothing.

I have not read Lorca but I recall that our old employer likes Lorca a lot.
